Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov issues series of instructions for development of Pacific Fleet as result of his work in region Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov following his working trip to the troops of the Eastern Military District held a meeting at a branch of the Nakhimov Naval School. The event was attended by the Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyaka, the Pacific Fleet command and the leadership of the relevant central military authorities.While summarising the results of the working trip, Andrei Belousov set a number of tasks for further development of the military and social infrastructure of the Pacific Fleet.'Today we inspected capital construction facilities - both in the military camp of the 155th Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, and in Snegovaya Pad' (Vladivostok), where the Ministry of Defence provides housing for servicemen. The main task we all face is to ensure the absolute fulfilment of everything planned,' Andrei Belousov said during the meeting.In addition to the instructions already given during the inspection, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation instructed the responsible divisions of the Russian Ministry of Defence to work out together with the administration of Primorsky Krai and submit proposals for connecting the facilities under construction to engineering networks as part of the first stage of construction of new barracks to accommodate soldiers of the 155th Marine Brigade. He also demanded to submit a calendar schedule for completion of construction of four residential buildings in Snegovaya Pad' in Vladivostok.In addition, before the meeting, the head of the Russian military inspected the emergency condition of the retaining wall in the branch of the Nakhimov Naval School, designed to strengthen the soil taking into account the impact of ground and flood waters and terrain features.Andrei Belousov instructed to supervise the completion of the first stage of reconstruction, which affects part of the wall, paying special attention to the creation of safe and comfortable conditions for students of the pre-university departmental educational institution.The Russian Defence Minister instructed military specialists to perform a detailed and thorough examination of the technical condition of the dormitory building for the Nakhimovs, and to promptly submit a proposal on sources of funding to complete the reconstruction of the entire wall.Andrei Belousov also instructed to plan measures for the construction of a multifunctional sports complex on the territory of the school for its students. Russian Defence Ministry
