⚡️ Russian Armed Forces launch strikes exclusively at Ukrainian military facilities in response to Ukrainian large-scale drone attacks across Russian regions At the initiative of the Russian Federation, direct Russian-Ukrainian dialogue on a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine was resumed. At the same time, the Kiev regime, backed by certain European countries, has taken a series of provocative steps intended to disrupt the negotiation process. Since 20 May 2025, the Kiev regime has repeatedly increased the number of attacks using Western-made unmanned aerial vehicles and projectiles against civilian facilities in the Russian Federation. From 20:00 of 20 May to 08:00 of 27 May 2025, the Russian air defence systems destroyed or intercepted 2,331 drones, 1,465 of which were outside the special military operation zone.Civilians, including women and children, were injured as a result of the Ukrainian drone attacks in Russian regions. In response to the actions of the Kiev regime, the Russian Armed Forces carried out strikes with air-, sea- and ground-based high-precision weapons, as well as attack drones, targeting exclusively military facilities and Ukrainian defence industry enterprises. On 20 May, a group strike hit the infrastructure of the Ozernoye airfield in Zhytomyr region, as well as depots storing ammunition, military hardware, and POL in Dnepropetrovsk region. On 21 May, a temporary deployment area and a missile and artillery depot belonging to an AFU mechanised brigade were destroyed in Sumy region. In addition, a temporary deployment area of foreign mercenaries was annihilated near Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk People's Republic, as well as an ammunition depot belonging to the Kharkov Task Force in Kharkov region. On 22 May, the Russian Armed Forces launched high-precision strikes on a Ukrainian defence industry enterprise in Dnepropetrovsk region – the Pavlograd Chemical Plant. Other targets included an aircraft repair workshop, infrastructure of a military airfield, and air defence radars in Krivoy Rog and Nikolayev regions. A temporary deployment area of foreign mercenaries in Kharkov region was also hit.An Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system eliminated a AN/MPQ-65 multi-role radar, a combat control vehicle and two anti-aircraft missile launchers of the Patriot surface-to-air missile system close to Orzhonikidze (Dnepropetrovsk region). On 23 May, ground-based high-precision weapons launched a group missile strike against an unloading zone and a container warehouse storing materiel and ammunition at the port of Odessa. About 100 containers holding components for uncrewed surface vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as ammunition, were destroyed as a result of the strike. Strikes were also launched to hit infrastructure and training areas used to store unmanned aerial vehicles at the Kislichevataya airfield in Zaporozhye region and the Kanatovo airfield in Kirovograd region.
